Piece of Mind Therapies offers specialist services for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Pervasive Developmental Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS), William’s Syndrome, Rett Syndrome, Fragile X Syndrome and Global Developmental Delay with children aged from fifteen months to 18 years old.

Our primary goal is to promote socially significant behaviours to the individual while minimising other inappropriate behaviours that may interfere with learning and/or full social inclusion, in a warm and enriching environment using the evidence based approach that is ABA.

Each individual is unique and affected in different ways which is why at Piece of Mind Therapies it is paramount to individualise any intervention to the needs of the individual, aiming to reach their full potential.

Piece of Mind Therapies aims to deliver a dynamic framework of ABA/VB to facilitate and teach communication, social interaction leading to form meaningful relationships and promoting functioning in the community while providing support for families, teachers and the team of therapists.

Each program is overseen by a BCBA-SLT and individualised targets are set at the right level for the client to maximise progress while maintaining motivation. The driving force behind Piece of Mind Therapies is that individuals with developmental disabilities have the right to effective education and treatment.

OUR FOUNDER

Piece of Mind Therapies was founded by Rochelle Gray in 2014. Rochelle has worked in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) for over 12 years; as an ABA therapist on home and school based ABA/VB programmes whilst studying for her BSc in Psychology at Greenwich University. Rochelle furthered her studies with an MSc in Mental Health and Learning Disabilities at the prestigious Kings College London, followed by a Post Graduate Degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis to further her knowledge and practice as an ABA practitioner.

She later went on to work in an ABA specialist school as a Supervisor, before returning to work on home and school based ABA programmes whilst becoming a certified Makaton Regional Tutor. In 2014, through Rochelle’s proven experience specialising in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and upon completion of her Board Certification, she was encouraged to devote 2 years in the Middle East where she offered training and support to professionals and schools throughout the region.

In 2018, Rochelle also became one of only five Dually Certified BCBA and Speech and Language therapist’s in the UK after completing her Post Graduate degree and being a registered member of the Heath and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

With a passion for boosting communication and reducing behaviours that maybe seen as challenging, Rochelle has acquired valuable experience in the impact the role that one can play on the other in an individual’s life, access and development.
